Frequently asked questions

If you feel sometimes overwhelmed by this fast-paced world, struggle to process your emotions, long to feel connected on a more profound level, and have a desire to feel stronger in not just your physical self, but also your inner self, then you have landed in the right place.

For me, the ancient practice of yoga—not just asana, the physical practice, but also breathwork, meditation, study of ancient texts, mantra chanting—offers me a safe space to transform trauma into joy, supports me through times of grief and sadness, helps to balance me when I feel scattered and anxious, and is a consistent compassionate light as I navigate this life experience.

Quite simply, yoga has my back—whatever I'm facing—and I am passionate about guiding you in how it can have yours, too.

If you would like to (re)discover your whole and radiant self so you can live your most authentic and fulfilling life, then I hope you'll journey with me!

I do!

Whenever I'm home in the UK I hold 4-week blocks of in-person classes that blend together pranayama (breathwork), asana (hatha, flow and yin yoga practices) and guided meditation.

I also hold occasional "mini retreat" afternoons where we practice yin, meditation, mantra, and come together in a supportive sharing circle, complete with yummy vegan snack and warm drink.

A practicing yogi of more than 25 years, in 2022 I decided to finally embark on teacher training. Since then—and now my daughter is all grown up—I have dedicated myself to continued studies, primarily focused on Yoga Philosophy, Sanskrit, and reading the Sacred Yogic Texts:

200hr Teacher Training with Jack Boken & Hanna von Hafenbrädl.

+300hr, which covered a range of modules: Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Injuries, Yoga for Everyone (seniors, children, curvy, power, chair), Yoga for Mental Health, Trauma-informed Yoga, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Yoga Philosophy & Spirituality, Yoga for Spiritual Care, Sacred Yogic Texts: Bhagavad Gita.

Further Courses in: Buddhist Psychology & Mindfulness, Yoga for Grief, Bhakti Yoga, Krishna & Christ, Kundalini Yoga, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Bhagavad Gita.

Sound Healing Academy: Tibetan Singing Bowls — Level 1 Certified.

Mantra Accompaniment: Harmonium Freedom with Dr Daisy Bowman.

CONTINUED STUDIES include āsana and Sanskrit chanting classes (online) with traditional teachers in India, as well as attending courses in Yoga Philosophy, Sacred Texts, and Sanskrit Grammar, all with Professor Edwin Bryant.

In Sanskrit (the ancient Indo-European language of India, in which the sacred yoga texts are written), the word Seva represents the act of performing service without expectation, acknowledgment, or recognition in return.

This is a value system I embrace wholeheartedly and as such, if you feel you would benefit from my offerings but need financial assistance, please talk to me.👇

Testimonials

"I wanted to email and thank you for holding such wonderful practices. I've really enjoyed each one, they've helped me grow in confidence, helping me regulate by having that essential time for me and it's just been so much fun practicing with all of you. I've never been brave enough to go to a class, so it's a big deal."

-KATIE (in-person student)

"Just a blissful yoga practice followed by the lovely chanting. It was such a beautiful exercise. Please can we have more! I loved joining in with the chanting. Thank you so much."

-SARAH (online student)

"This week has been wonderful with yoga and meditation. I once again listened to your sound offering this afternoon which was blissful and very much needed. Whilst listening to you and your teachings I've finally understood connection and how being alone and connecting with nature and breath is not a treat but a necessity for me. I've been completing my short journal each night and now entwining yoga and meditation into my daily life, I am starting to feel free and more my true self."

-HAYLEY (in-person & online student)
